FS9X00 Series

Fast & Portable UV-Vis-NIR Spectroradiometers

High-Precision spectra up to 2500nm

The FIGSPEC FS9X00 series comprises three high‑precision handheld spectroradiometers: FS‑9100, FS‑9200, and FS‑9300, designed for fast, reliable field measurements from the UV range to NIR/SWIR:

  • FS‑9100 is a standard handheld spectroradiometer covering 300–1100 nm, optimized for cost‑effective deployment in vegetation research, forestry science, and agricultural surveys.

  • FS‑9200 extends the spectral range to 300–1700 nm by combining a CMOS linear sensor in the visible with a cooled InGaAs detector in the short‑wave infrared, making it suitable for crop and soil monitoring, as well as water‑quality assessment.

  • FS‑9300 spans 300–2500 nm with CMOS plus two‑stage cooled InGaAs detectors and supports accessories such as a pistol‑style aiming device and contact‑probe grips, enabling a broader range of applications in environmental research, mining, and process monitoring.
All models are optimized for intensive field campaigns, delivering low‑noise spectra, short integration times, and straightforward operation over extended periods.

FS9100

Ultra-Wide Spectral Coverage

Spectral ranges from 300–1100 nm (FS‑9100), 300–1700 nm (FS‑9200) and 300–2500 nm (FS‑9300), enabling continuous VNIR–SWIR spectral analysis in a single portable platform.

Advanced detector architecture

Hybrid configuration of CMOS linear sensors and two‑stage cooled InGaAs detectors provides high signal‑to‑noise ratios, excellent stability, and spectral resolution down to about 1.7 nm in the visible domain.

Field‑ready mechanical design

Robust housing with IP54–IP65 protection (model‑dependent), long‑run batteries (~6 h on average) and ergonomic handles or straps for comfortable, high‑throughput field measurements.

Flexible optics and field of view

Fiber‑optic input with 1.5 m cable and multiple interchangeable lenses (standard 25° field of view, with optional 1°/8°/15° heads) for parcel‑level, leaf‑level, or spot‑target measurements

Integrated positioning and metadata

Built‑in GPS and, in selected configurations, an gyroscope for angle compensation, allowing geo‑tagged spectra and precise tracking of measurement geometry during field campaigns

Software‑ready and integrable

Compatible with FIGSPEC/iatecps spectral‑analysis suites for advanced processing (vegetation indices, multivariate calibration, time‑series analysis), with data export via USB, plus optional wireless interfaces for remote or automated workflows.
