OctoStat5000

High Performance & High Stability

Affordable high-spec and high stability electrochemical test system ideal for applications such as long-term battery/fuel cell testing, electrode development, biotechnology, and corrosion studies.

20M points/channel

The integrated DataSecure feature ensures that all data is stored independently (with up to 20 million points per channel), safeguarding against communication loss or computer crashes and ensuring that measurement data is never lost.

19-Inch Rack-Mountable Housing

The OctoStat’s robust build is housed in a 19-inch rack-mountable casing, making it suitable for high-density setups, with up to 128 channels per rack, making it suitable for large-scale long time testing setups.

USB / LAN connectivity

The uDataSecure module supports multiple PC connections via LAN (Ethernet), enhancing data accessibility and system integration.

Dedicated Embedded FRA/EIS

Unique to each channel is a dedicated Frequency Response Analyzer/Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (FRA/EIS) in each independent channel, not multiplexed. Capable of EIS during DC charge/discharge.

Peripheral Analog Signal Acquisition

Octostat allows simultaneous acquisition of current/potential and peripheral analog signals or an input for precise temperature measurement.

Wide Range: 100pA to 128A

Including low current measurement possibility down to 100pA full-scale with femtoampere (fA) resolution or up to 10A per channel (or up to 128A in combination with OctoBoot)

Boots your equipment?

Are you looking to expand your electrochemical analysis capabilities beyond just a potentiostat? SFTec offers a wide range of additional equipment designed to seamlessly integrate with your potentiostat, allowing you to tackle even the most complex electrochemical experiments and take your research to the next level.

True Linear Scan

The True Linear Scan is a hardware option that applies a smooth analog ramp, instead of the standard staircase sweep. This hardware configuration is available on all Ivium potentiostats, and can be fitted retrospectively via a software-key upgrade.

The True Linear Scan option is designed to be used in those cases where the nature and speed of the electrochemical reaction processes lead to information loss when a standard digital staircase signal is applied (fast transient behaviour, absorption, α-characteristics)

OctoPDA-T

The OctoPDA-T  is a module, designed for use in combination with an OctoStat, that allows 2 analog input measurements for each OctoStat channel:

  • input 1 is a high impedance differential analog input with BNC connector
    • Capable of measuring the difference between inputs up to ±10V
    • Input impedance >1E12 Ohm
    • The voltage signal transfers directly to Analog input 1 of the potentiostat peripheral port
  • input 2 is an analog input with a direct connection for a K-type thermocouple for temperature measurements
    • Suitable for K-type thermocouples
    • Temperature range from -50 to 900 degrees centigrade
    • Measurement accuracy:
      • -25 to 400C is ±2C
      • >400C is ±1.6%
    • The voltage signal transfers directly to Analog input 2 of the potentiostat peripheral port
