Double-chamber test cell for studying membranes, separators, and electrolytes

For assembling and disassembling, no tools are needed. For adjusting the temperature, the cell can be used inside of a climate chamber.
Specifications and content
The TCE Cell One requires only a low amount of liquid electrolyte (approx. 1.8 ml) which can be split into two compartments when inserting a membrane, separator foil or solid ion conductor.
Since each experiment requires different tools, the TCE Cell One is delivered without electrodes. Electrodes with core material of your choice have to be ordered separately. For assembling the TCE Cell One, no tools or screws are required.
The test cell can be handled easily – also when working in a glovebox. The TCE Cell is air-tight, and therefore measurements can be prepared inside and outside of the glovebox when working with air- and moisture-sensitive samples.
In case that the temperature should be adjusted, the TCE Cell One can be placed into an oven or climate chamber. It can be used in a temperature range from -40 °C to +100 °C.

DC Method to Determine the MacMullin Number of Separators
A simple direct current method to measure MacMullin numbers using the TCE Cell One is described. It does not require the use of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy or a frequency response analyzer.
