Vertex C
Potentiostat/galvanostat/ZRA with FRA/EIS and bipotentiostat
Professional Performance
Entry Level Instrumentation
The Vertex.C with Bipotentiostat is an all-round
potentiostat/galvanostat/ZRA with FRA/EIS with bipotentiostat
capability. Its low cost and wide specifications result in a versatile
single-channel instrument, and multiple instruments are an attractive
alternative to a multi-channel solution.
The cell is connected with our
standard shielded cell cable via the HD15 cell connector. The WE2 lead
of this cable is used when the bipotentiostat is in use. The Vertex.C is
capable of all standard electrochemical techniques (including
bipotentiostat measurements) and a complete suite of IviumSoft control
and data processing software (for Windows based PCs) is included as
standard.

4 Electrode Configuration
4 electrodes: WE, CE, RE, S (and GND) with HD15 cell connector, supporting all standard electrochemical applications including bipotentiostat measurements when using the WE2 lead.
Expandability
The Vertex.C comes with integrated FRA/EIS and bipotentiostat capabilities, with the option to expand with True Linear Scan module for enhanced functionality.
Wide Application Range
Versatile instrument suitable for educational purposes, basic electrochemistry, battery research, corrosion studies, sensors, and RRDE applications, supported by comprehensive IviumSoft control software.
Grounded / floating
User selectable grounded/floating operation to accommodate various experimental setups and requirements
Integrated Capabilities
Built-in FRA/EIS analyzer with frequency range from 10µHz to 1MHz and integrated bipotentiostat functionality (±35mA, ±2V offset), all included in the base unit without need for external modules.
High Data Acquisition Rate
Acquisition up to 300,000 points/s (stored in instrument memory),
with a minimum interval time of 3.33µs (0.125µs resolution) and
applicable scanrates from 1µV/s to 10,000V/s.
Power Specifications
1 Single power configuration with ±350mA current compliance and ±13V voltage compliance, with maximum applied voltage of ±10V, suitable for most standard electrochemical applications.
Specifications
Ivium provides outstanding software to match every research application. IviumSoft intuitive software suite is feature-rich and is common to all of our instruments. It comprises several operation modes which offers one complete powerful and versatile package of control and analysis software, suitable for any Windows operated system.
Included applications:
- IviumSoft.
- CycliScan.
- Multichannel Mode (MC Mode).
- IviLAB.
- Batch Mode.
It is free with each instrument with unlimited installs.

Boost your equipment?
Are you looking to expand your electrochemical analysis capabilities beyond just a potentiostat? SFTec offers a wide range of additional equipment designed to seamlessly integrate with your potentiostat, allowing you to tackle even the most complex electrochemical experiments and take your research to the next level.
Bipotentiostat
The bipotentiostat (BiStat) is an internal hardware upgrade that enables a second working electrode (WE2) with programmable potential offset with respect to the RE or WE1.
The bipotentiostat is fully integrated in the potentiostatic Sweep and Transient methods. Its data is recorded simultaneously with the primary channel and can be represented in the same plot using a secondary axis, or in a separate plot. The maximum scanrate or minimum interval times are the same as for the primary channel.

True Linear Scan
The True Linear Scan is a hardware option that applies a smooth analog ramp, instead of the standard staircase sweep. This hardware configuration is available on all Ivium potentiostats, and can be fitted retrospectively via a software-key upgrade.
The True Linear Scan option is designed to be used in those cases where the nature and speed of the electrochemical reaction processes lead to information loss when a standard digital staircase signal is applied (fast transient behaviour, absorption, α-characteristics)
